EDUCATION, VALUES AND INNOVATION
Oranim College of Education is the largest and leading academic college of education in the North of Israel, catering to thousands of students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in education, teaching certification courses, and advanced career training. Many of our graduates continue their studies through pursuing advanced degrees and training, both in Israel and overseas. Oranim graduates are in demand in all education related fields – in public and private schools, diverse educational institutions, local and regional governments, national ministries, youth movements, non-profits, the arts, sciences, and industry. Tens of thousands of Oranim graduates are involved in education in Israel.
The college is located 20 minutes east of Haifa and is named after the pine trees that grow on the premises. Oranim College is committed to academic excellence, community involvement, and the promotion of higher education. Oranim boasts a broad range of programs and degrees, as well as a diverse student body, with Jewish and Arab students of all ages, ethnicities, religions, and socio-economic backgrounds.

ORANIM INTERNATIONAL
Oranim International School brings scholars, educational practitioners, and students from around the world to the pastoral campus of Oranim College in the North of Israel in order to study, teach, and research in the spirit of Oranim’s values: educational innovation and leadership combined with academic excellence, sensitivity towards individual differences and cultural diversity, strengthening personal identity, and accepting collective responsibility. OIS is a multicultural educational community, where people from diverse backgrounds learn together and from one another.
Mission
Oranim International School’s mission is to serve as an international center of knowledge, inquiry, and discussion, developing novel educational ideas and methods. Through dialogue and ongoing mutual relationships, Oranim seeks to strengthen the connection between the diverse cultures in Israel, and to enhance the links between Israel and the rest of the Jewish world, as well as the world at large. In doing so, Oranim strives to be a leader of social change.
Vision
Oranim International School’s vision is to engage researchers, leaders, and students from diverse cultures, religions, and approaches in academic collaborations and programs designed to increase knowledge, understanding, and cooperation while promoting social change, informed by Israeli, Jewish, and humanistic values.

These are our academic programs and degree options taught in English.
These English-taught programs combine academic excellence, an experienced faculty, and an international learning environment, designed for students from Israel and around the world who seek high-quality education in a global setting.
BA in English language and literature together with an English foreign language multi-age teaching certificate is for school graduate olim without higher education. This is a four-year undergraduate program taught from Mondays to Thursdays. Depending upon the year of study, students study 1-2 days on campus, and other studies take place online. During the second and third years, students engage in practice teaching at elementary and secondary schools. The fourth year is a paid internship year in a school and the completion of studies at Oranim. Candidates should have their school leaving exam results recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Education, a grade of no less than 535 on the psychometric examination or participation in a mechina. English teaching certificate program is a two-year program for olim that would like a teaching certificate but not a Master of Education. Studies take place on Mondays (at Oranim) and on Thursdays online. Additionally, students complete practice teaching in schools.
